Our Why
Women of the World (WoW) is born from Founder Shufen Goh’s passion to champion women in the marketing and advertising industry, and fix the“gender promotion gap”.
As Co-Founder of 20-year-old global independent marketing consultancy R3, and having experienced being a woman leader in adland, Shufen realized the need for women leaders to build community. A space where we feel secure and supported, where we find like-minded women, where we can elevate and cheer on other women leaders, and where we can inspire a new generation of women leaders.

As Co-Founder of 20-year-old global independent marketing consultancy R3, and having experienced being a woman leader in adland, Shufen realized the need for women leaders to build community. A space where we feel secure and supported, where we find like-minded women, where we can elevate and cheer on other women leaders, and where we can inspire a new generation of women leaders.
The R3 team thus decided to kickstart this passion project in early 2022 by organizing small group lunches with senior women leaders. Till date, we have connected with more than 120 women across Singapore, London, Jakarta and Manila, from brands and agencies such as P&G, Samsung, Unilever, UBS, L'Oreal, Hilton, GroupM, Havas and dentsu. We’ve met such inspiring strong women who have paved their own way in the industry and wish to continue making a difference. The energy and the motivation of the community is palpable, and the hunger to cause change is contagious.
We are committed to developing the WoW community, and will continue to build new chapters in different cities. Our hope is to gather giving hearts and push the boundaries on what women in our industry, using our marketing wits and influence, can do to make changes that makes a difference. We hope to create a ripple effect of actions for good in the present, and beyond.
